Editor

Laura Dormer is Co-Founder and Editorial Director of Becaris Publishing Ltd, publisher of the Journal of Comparative Effectiveness Research and The Evidence Base. Laura began her career in publishing in 2003, developing expertise in journal development and publication ethics, including as a co-author of the recently updated Good Publication Practice (GPP) Guidelines. She has edited many journals during her 20-year editorial career, including Expert Review of Pharmacoeconomics & Outcomes Research. She has been the Launch Editor of numerous successful titles, including the Journal of Comparative Effectiveness Research, which, over the past 10 years, has led to her particular interest in the fields of health policy, health economics and outcomes research. Laura has been the Editor-in-Chief of Learned Publishing, the official journal of the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers, since 2022; a publication focused on scholarly communication and publishing.

Laura manages the day-to-day editorial running of the Journal of Comparative Effectiveness Research, supported by the journal's Associate Editors and Editorial Board, experts in comparative effectiveness, real-world evidence, and health economics and outcomes research, drawn from broad range of international organizations.

 


Executive Editor

Jo has been in publishing for over 20 years and has worked across various journal and digital platforms to help authors as well as medical publication planners identify the right publishing solutions for their content. At Becaris Publishing, Jo is keen to ensure all content published in JCER and on The Evidence Base is understandable, engaging and accessible, whether through a plain language summary in JCER or visual infographic on the website. Jo works alongside Laura in the running of the Journal of Comparative Effectiveness Research.
