Real-world evidence (RWE) is now accepted by a wide range of stakeholders to support decision making across the pharmaceutical product lifecycle as well as in clinical practice to provide true patient-centric care. Real-world data (RWD), and the evidence generated by analyzing this data, serves to complement, or even broaden, the data derived from clinical trials. From identifying unmet patient needs to learning more about how treatments are used in real life, RWE can guide the development of new therapies, support regulatory approvals and inform treatment strategies. Use of RWE and big data offers the potential to harness vast amounts of medical data, but also brings significant methodological, legal and ethical challenges.
Becaris Publishing is dedicated to this space by providing accessible and trusted, evidence-based information across the RWE spectrum. The Journal of Comparative Effectiveness Research publishes the latest peer-reviewed, open access research and opinion written by leading experts in the field. Complementing the journal, The Evidence Base® curates news, opinion, multimedia content and more in an online forum to enable a wider audience to learn about the latest developments in the discussion, regulations, research and application of RWE.
Becaris Publishing is committed to making all our products accessible to everyone.
Becaris Publishing continually strives to improve the accessibility of our online platforms, based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) created by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).
W3C defines three accessibility levels in WCAG issue 2.0. From least to most accessible, these are: A, AA and AAA. Currently, Becaris Publishing aims to make all publicly available web pages meet level A, and will aspire to meet level AA where possible.
All journal content is published in HTML and PDF formats. PDFs can be opened using our eReader capability or downloaded and viewed via the free to download Adobe Reader.
To raise any queries regarding accessibility to a Becaris Publishing product, please contact us at [email protected].
For readers with accessibility requirements, Becaris Publishing recommends using the Firefox browser and its Reader View.
This can be enabled in Firefox by pressing the F9 key or by clicking the reader view icon in the address bar.
We recommend the use of Reader View on our article pages as it includes options for a text to speech service and the ability to change font size and appearance.
