From trials to reality: Understanding the target trial framework in evidence generation
Martin Anderson and Calvin Lee of Carrot Recruitment, our Talent Hub partner, will be in Philadelphia meeting colleagues and discussing recruitment needs across HEOR and market access.
Ahead of the conference, we spoke with Martin about how recruitment strategies are evolving, why quality and partnership models are gaining traction, and what it takes to identify and secure the right talent in a competitive market.

Genesis Research Group will host an Exhibit Hall session titled “Navigating Strategies for Comparative Effectiveness From Trials to Real-World Evidence,” where Priti Jhingran, Craig Parzynski and Alexandra Sosinsky will provide a practical discussion on the right approach and timing to generate comparative effectiveness evidence.
The team will also be available throughout the meeting to discuss pricing and market access strategies and have recently shared insights on the evolving Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) policy through our dedicated video series.
Forian will showcase its RWD ecosystem, which links disparate datasets including claims, clinical records, and social determinants of health, as discussed by Mike Scilia and Wouter van der Pluijm in their recent Guest Column.
Selected research being presented includes:
- Association between GLP-1 receptor agonist initiation and alcohol use disorder and alcohol-related medical conditions in a US administrative claims database (Poster Session 1, Monday May 18, 10:30am ֪– 1:30pm)
- Machine learning to differentiate congestive heart failure onset among high-risk patients identified by the Framingham risk score (Poster Session 3, Tuesday May 19, 10:30am – 1:30pm)
- Observed cardiovascular disease prevalence among obese and type 2 diabetes patients with and without GLP-1 treatment (Poster Session 4, Tuesday May 19, 4:00pm – 7:00pm)
PHAROS Labs GmbH will be co-located with SmartStep Consulting GmbH at the conference. Florian Woeste, Managing Director, will present Regulaido, their AI platform for medical writing in regulated life sciences.
Florian will also present a poster domain-specific versus. general-purpose AI for confounder identification, where he’ll be available to discuss this research at the poster session on Wednesday. Further insights from this research will be published on The Evidence Base after the conference.
The PointClickCare Life Sciences team, including Paul Newman, Connor Moriarty, and Anthony Pero, will be at the booth to discuss Study Buddy, an AI-powered natural language research tool designed to support evidence generation using extensive long-term and post-acute care datasets.
Premier Applied Sciences – Booth 824
Premier Applied Sciences, an ISPOR Alliance Partner, will have a comprehensive presence across the conference, with activities include poster sessions, a podium presentation of their research on real-world healthcare resource utilization and costs, and an Exhibit Hall Theater session featuring perspectives from life science leaders on support evidence generation with RWD.
The team will also host a private event and participate in networking activities, including the ISPOR Women in HEOR reception at the conference on Monday evening.
Ahead of the conference, our Editor Laura Dormer spoke with Myla Maloney, Chief Growth Officer at Premier Applied Sciences, to discuss their plans for ISPOR 2026.
Truveta, also an ISPOR Alliance Partner, will present in the Exhibit Hall Theater session “Minutes, Not Months: AI-Enabled Insights to Drive Evidence Strategy.” Michael Simonov (Truveta) will discuss how AI enabled insights from RWD can accelerate evidence generation strategies.
The team will also showcase several research posters demonstrating the diverse insights from Truveta Data, including findings on maternal health, cardiovascular disease, and mental health.
