Komodo Health and Nasdaq have introduced the Nasdaq Medical Claims Insights (NMCI) dataset, offering hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital firms access to real-world healthcare data from over 330 million patient journeys to inform investment decisions across the US healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Developed using data from Komodo Health’s Healthcare Map, the NMCI dataset provides a longitudinal and real-time view of patient interactions across providers, organizations, and care settings. It includes de-identified information on prescriptions, specialty drugs, electronic health records (EHRs), clinical encounters, payers, and laboratory results. Available exclusively through Nasdaq, NMCI contributes to the growing use of alternative data in financial markets by offering healthcare-focused insights for institutional investors.

Komodo Health is a healthcare data and technology company that provides real-world evidence (RWE) and analytics through a platform that combines large-scale, de-identified patient data with AI-powered tools. The company supports decision-making across life sciences, payers, providers, and digital health organizations.

“Komodo’s breadth, quality, and coverage of its insights combined with our data capabilities and innovation has unlocked a unique dataset that provides an in-depth view into the pharmaceutical and US healthcare industries. The Nasdaq Medical Claims Insights will empower market participants to access new opportunities and drive more informed investment decisions and strategies,” said Brandon Tepper (Senior Vice President and Global Head of Data at Nasdaq).

The partnership aims to help investors track trends, forecast drug and company-level revenues, evaluate shifts in market share, and identify emerging therapies and companies. It also offers tools to support broader market analysis and healthcare-related investment strategies.

“Our partnership with Nasdaq Data provides market participants with a unique dataset that can sharpen their competitive edge across healthcare-related analysis and investing,” said Miles Ennis (Chief Revenue Officer, Komodo Health). “Accessed through our AI-powered platform, users are provided with unparalleled breadth, quality, and coverage that can help inform decisions in an increasingly dynamic market.”
