Folia Health and Inspire partner to advance real-world evidence with home-reported patient data

Folia Health and Inspire are working together to collect home-reported patient data to enhance real-world evidence (RWE) generation in complex diseases.
Folia Health and Inspire have launched a partnership to advance patient-focused drug development by building longitudinal RWE communities. The initiative will use structured, home-reported outcomes (HRO) data from patients and caregivers to capture insights that are often missing from clinical or administrative sources, particularly in complex and heterogeneous conditions.
Inspire, the world’s largest online health community, connects more than 10 million patients and caregivers across 3000 disease areas. The platform supports research efforts throughout the clinical development lifecycle and works with over 100 patient advocacy organizations. It provides access to focused patient populations and a wide range of real-world data (RWD), including claims and electronic health records (EHRs).
“We are thrilled to partner with Inspire to engage their member communities with our innovative, app-based solution that has been designed to bridge the gap between clinical care decision making and real-world evidence research,” said Nell Meosky Luo, CEO of Folia Health.
Folia Health’s HRO platform allows individuals to define and track observations that reflect their daily experiences with disease. Developed in collaboration with patients, caregivers, and clinicians, the platform is designed to produce structured, longitudinal insights that support both research and clinical care. By enabling participants to self-select and report what is most relevant to them, the platform captures health data that is often difficult to observe or measure in traditional settings.
“At Inspire, we believe that empowering patients and caregivers to contribute their lived experiences is essential to driving meaningful research,” said Brett Kleger, CEO of Inspire. “By integrating Folia’s innovative home-reported outcomes with our engaged health communities, we’re unlocking new possibilities for real-world evidence generation that reflects the true patient journey. Ultimately this accelerates patient-focused drug development.”
The partnership will combine Folia’s home-based data collection with Inspire’s linked data assets, including administrative claims, EHR records, and AI-enabled social media insights. This approach allows for a more complete and detailed view of the patient experience. The research model is fully remote and does not require clinic visits or physical research sites.
Participants can share data directly with care teams and receive visualizations and reports that support more informed decision-making. The platform is private and secure, with users maintaining control over how and when their data is shared.
