Caresyntax and the Jacobs Institute have announced they are teaming up to support real-world evidence (RWE) generation and enhance medical device evaluation through surgical data integration.

Caresyntax, a provider of surgical data integration and analytics solutions, has announced a cooperation with the Jacobs Institute (JI), a not-for-profit organization focused on vascular medical technology. The initiative aims to support the use of RWE in assessing medical devices and improving surgical outcomes. Caresyntax’s software is currently used in over 4200 operating rooms worldwide and supports more than 3 million surgical procedures annually.

JI will join the Caresyntax Clinical Innovation Network, a group of healthcare institutions working to advance data-informed decision-making in clinical practice. The collaboration will combine Caresyntax’s vendor-neutral RWE platform and data science capabilities with the Jacobs Institute’s clinical expertise and innovation infrastructure in vascular surgery.

"We are thrilled to partner with The Jacobs Institute, a true pioneer in clinical innovation," said Matt Krueger, President at Caresyntax. "With its integrated network of clinical, engineering, and industry knowledge, JI is a natural fit for our clinical innovation network. The Jacobs Institute significantly enhances our ability to generate deep, procedural insights and to connect innovative companies to the real-world evidence they need."

Through participation in the network, the Jacobs Institute will have access to Caresyntax’s Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI) projects. These initiatives involve collecting and analyzing surgical data to help MedTech partners better understand factors affecting patient outcomes. The approach is positioned as a more cost-efficient and patient-centered alternative to traditional clinical trials.

"Partnering with Caresyntax provides a powerful new tool to take our relationships with industry partners to the next level," said Adnan H Siddiqui, MD, CEO & CMO of The Jacobs Institute. "This collaboration enables us to support the broader healthcare ecosystem by facilitating the generation of high-quality real-world evidence, which is essential for advancing medical technology and improving patient care standards globally. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of this initiative."
