OMNY Health has become the first electronic health record (EHR) provider to make its real-world data (RWD) available on Datavant Connect, supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Clean Rooms. This collaboration, part of Datavant’s Lighthouse Partner Program, is designed to streamline and accelerate how research teams identify and evaluate clinical data by enabling secure, privacy-preserving access without requiring data movement.

The integration builds on OMNY Health’s broader efforts to expand access to research-ready clinical information. The company recently added 4 billion clinical notes to its platform, transforming unstructured clinician documentation into usable data. This addition enhances OMNY Health’s national data network, which spans all 50 states and includes more than 8 years of historical records. The network represents over 85 million patient lives and features contributions from more than 500,000 providers across 200 specialties. These insights are supported through collaborations with specialty networks, academic medical centers, healthcare systems, and integrated delivery networks.

By integrating its dataset, comprising more than 1 billion patient encounters, into AWS Clean Rooms, OMNY Health is working with Datavant and AWS to address long-standing challenges in healthcare research. Traditionally, finding appropriate datasets has required manual and time-consuming processes that can result in mismatches between the data acquired and research needs. This novel approach allows for secure collaboration without requiring data to be moved, enabling faster feasibility assessments and improving the timeline for generating insights.

“With OMNY Health’s entire dataset now integrated into Datavant Connect, clients can quickly identify and evaluate the right dataset for their needs,” said Dr Mitesh Rao, CEO and Co-Founder of OMNY Health. “This partnership streamlines the data selection process, enabling research teams to assess data fitness for purpose in real time. It also accelerates each phase of data evaluation, driving rapid growth while maintaining operational efficiency with a faster, more straightforward experience.”

OMNY Health and Datavant began their collaboration in 2021, initially focused on offering standardized, normalized, and de-identified EHR data to users of the Datavant Connect platform. Over time, the partnership has expanded to provide access to a broader set of data drawn from diverse patient populations and healthcare providers, enhancing the value of real-world evidence (RWE) for research. Arnaub Chatterjee, President and GM of Life Sciences, Ecosystem, and Public Sector at Datavant noted:

“By enabling data sources like OMNY Health to seamlessly leverage AWS Clean Room capabilities, we’re not just improving feasibility assessments—we’re redefining how research teams access, evaluate, and activate data. As a first adopter, OMNY is demonstrating the power of cloud-first data discovery to accelerate time to insight and reduce friction across the data lifecycle.”
