RWE isn’t failing – our data strategies are. Explore how to overcome RWE challenges to generate decision-grade evidence from real-world data.

Despite unprecedented access to real-world data (RWD), many HEOR teams still struggle to generate evidence that stands up to scrutiny. Fragmentation, hidden bias, and operational complexity continue to undermine impact.

In this session, Myla Maloney and Ariann Stone of Premier Applied Sciences challenge conventional approaches to real-world evidence (RWE) and explore what it actually takes to produce decision-grade evidence. Using examples grounded in the Premier Healthcare Database, they will unpack how more connected data, rigorous methods, and thoughtful study design can close the gap between evidence generation and real-world decision-making.

Attendees will gain practical insights into turning complex data into actionable intelligence that supports regulatory, clinical, and market access decisions.

What you will learn

  • Why more data isn’t the answer – and how fragmentation quietly erodes evidence quality
  • Where bias and data gaps most often compromise HEOR studies (and how to mitigate them)
  • What “decision-grade” RWE really requires across study design, data curation, and methodology
  • How to move from retrospective analysis to more proactive, scalable evidence generation
  • Practical approaches to making RWD usable for regulatory, payer, and clinical decisions
