Trinity Life Sciences and Ontada form data partnership to strengthen commercial decision-making in oncology

Trinity Life Sciences has announced a new partnership with Ontada aimed at improving commercial decision-making in community oncology. The collaboration combines advanced analytics with real-world data (RWD) to support forecasting, patient and provider insights, and strategy development across the product lifecycle.
The partnership brings together Trinity’s expertise in commercial analytics and Ontada’s oncology-focused data assets to generate timely and actionable insights for life sciences companies. By analyzing detailed RWD, including treatment patterns, prescribing behavior, and clinical practice trends, the collaboration is intended to inform targeting strategies, guide resource allocation, and support market segmentation from early planning through post-launch execution.
Ontada contributes access to iKnowMed®, its proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, used by more than 2400 community-based oncology providers across the United States. The platform includes data from over 2.4 million patient records and more than 80 tumor types, sourced from The US Oncology Network and Onmark practices. This dataset provides a longitudinal view of patient care and clinical decision-making in real-world settings.
Trinity contributes expertise in forecasting, real-world analytics, and primary market research, supported by AI-enabled and technology-driven approaches. Its solutions address a range of functions, including customer engagement, medical affairs, launch planning, and the application of generative AI to inform evidence-based decision-making.
Christine Davis, President of Ontada, stated:
“The need for rapid insights in cancer care has never been greater. Ontada’s collaboration with Trinity demonstrates our commitment to delivering faster answers to critical questions. By connecting Trinity’s robust analytics with Ontada’s nuanced and unique data sets, we can provide deeper, more actionable insights for our life science partners. Speed is crucial not only to our life science partners but also for cancer patients, who can benefit greatly from a better understanding of precision therapies.”
The collaboration is expected to enhance capabilities in areas such as patient journey mapping, provider segmentation, customer targeting, and forecasting accuracy. These insights aim to help commercial teams better understand the structure and dynamics of community oncology and adapt their strategies accordingly.
“Understanding community oncology presents a particular challenge for commercial teams as they work to develop strategies and deploy resources to maximize adoption of life-saving therapies,” said Leslie Orne, President and CEO of Trinity Life Sciences. “Ontada’s data, coupled with Trinity’s analytical services, allows the extraction of deeper, more actionable insights and powers more impactful commercial decision-making that will help to optimize patient outcomes.”
