Tempus and BioNTech to enhance oncology development with AI and real-world data

Tempus and BioNTech are partnering to leverage AI and real-world data (RWD), aiming to advance oncology research and accelerate the development of new cancer therapies.

Tempus AI, Inc., a company focused on AI-driven precision medicine, has announced a multi-year collaboration with BioNTech SE. This partnership will utilize Tempus’ comprehensive multimodal datasets to advance BioNTech’s next-generation oncology pipeline.

This collaboration brings together Tempus’ multimodal RWD with BioNTech’s research and development programs. The goal is to generate new insights into cancer biology, driving forward BioNTech’s research and development efforts. By combining Tempus’ data capabilities with BioNTech’s AI-driven approach, the two companies aim to speed up the discovery and development of innovative cancer therapies.

BioNTech, with expertise in immunology and mRNA technology, develops immunotherapies and vaccines to address cancer and other serious diseases. Under the agreement with Tempus, they will provide analytical support and computational biology expertise, allowing BioNTech to access and utilize Tempus’ RWD sources, which will be applied to BioNTech’s oncology research and development pipeline.
