OMNY Health and Scipher Medicine to advance precision medicine for autoimmune diseases in new collaboration

OMNY Health and Scipher Medicine will combine their expertise in genomic and clinical data to advance precision medicine for autoimmune diseases.
OMNY Health™ and Scipher Medicine have announced a partnership aimed at advancing precision medicine for autoimmune diseases. Scipher Medicine will integrate its clinico-transcriptomic data with OMNY Health’s extensive electronic medical record (EMR) network, with the aim of improving treatment options and outcomes for millions of patients globally.
OMNY Health operates a national platform for data sharing and research collaboration, connecting healthcare systems, academic medical centers, and delivery networks across all 50 US States. The platform includes over 7 years of historical data from 300,000 providers across 200 specialties, covering 75 million patient lives. This ecosystem now incorporates insights from Scipher Medicine’s PrismRA test, which uses molecular signatures to support treatment decisions for rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Scipher Medicine has developed the largest RA clinic-genomic dataset and biobank, supported by its expertise in network biology and artificial intelligence. The PrismRA test, used on over 40,000 RA patients, identifies individuals unlikely to benefit from TNFi therapy – the most widely prescribed drug class for RA – enabling clinicians to make more effective and personalized treatment decisions while avoiding unnecessary cycles of ineffective medications.
“Patients deserve clarity and personalized evidence-based answers when navigating individual treatment options,” said Dr Reginald Seeto, President and CEO of Scipher Medicine. “By partnering with OMNY Health, we will enable clinicians and researchers to make data-driven decisions that ultimately reduce the risk to patients.”
This collaboration integrates OMNY Health’s robust clinical data, including metrics such as disease activity scores, functional status, and lab results for nearly 250,000 RA patients, with the transcriptomic insights of PrismRA. The integrated dataset offers researchers a deeper understanding of the patient journey, supporting the development of targeted therapies and enhancing clinical outcomes.
The partnership highlights the potential of precision medicine in addressing autoimmune diseases, which affect nearly 50 million people in the US. RA alone impacts 20 million patients worldwide, demonstrating the need for precision medicine approaches that leverage multi-modal datasets to improve treatment strategies. Access to these combined datasets can support life sciences organizations in advancing drug development and identifying new patient populations for innovative therapies. The role of precision medicine continues to expand, with biomarker-dependent drugs comprising 42% of FDA approvals.
This announcement follows OMNY Health’s recent launch of its GLP-1 database, which integrates EHR data from over 645,000 patients and is designed to support research on medications for pediatrics and social determinants of health.
