New collaboration between Atropos Health and Ontada broadens oncology evidence network

Atropos Health is partnering with Ontada to expand its oncology real-world data (RWD) network, supporting real-world evidence (RWE) generation for cancer care, clinical decision-making, and drug development.
Atropos Health has announced a new collaboration with Ontada®, a McKesson business, to expand the oncology capabilities of the Atropos Evidence™ Network by integrating Ontada’s proprietary oncology RWD. The partnership is designed to enhance RWE generation to support clinical, research, and life sciences applications in oncology. Ontada contributes data from iKnowMed®, an electronic health record system used by The US Oncology Network, which treats over 1.4 million cancer patients annually. The dataset includes longitudinal records from more than 2.4 million patients across over 80 tumor types, providing valuable insights into community oncology, where approximately 85% of cancer patients receive care.
"The demand for high-quality data in oncology is ever present," said Dr Brigham Hyde, CEO and co-founder of Atropos Health. "The Atropos Evidence™ Network, which will now include Ontada’s RWD, includes benefits across the entire healthcare ecosystem. For health systems, the oncology multi-modal network contains the high quality RWD necessary to generate the RWE needed for high-stakes clinical decisions. This collaboration with Ontada will help life sciences organizations accelerate the rate at which RWE insights drive decision-making for drug discovery and development and ensure they are presented and acted upon, driving innovation and ultimately improving the lives of cancer patients."
The collaboration supports efforts to inform precision medicine strategies, develop care protocols, and improve the evidence base for new therapies. By contributing structured oncology RWD, Ontada enables broader research use and more comprehensive analysis of patient outcomes.
"Ontada and Atropos Health are committed to accelerating evidence generation to drive better outcomes for patients with cancer," said Christine Davis, President of Ontada. "This collaboration will empower life sciences organizations by enhancing their evidence-generation capabilities and supporting more effective clinical decision-making that can help to improve patient care."
Atropos Health’s GENEVA OS™ platform enables participating organizations to generate evidence from their own data in a secure, cloud-based environment. Queries run through the Atropos Evidence™ Network are assessed using the Real-World Fitness Score®, which identifies the most appropriate datasets for each question. The network includes data from over 300 million patient records.
This announcement follows Atropos Health’s recent introduction of Federated Nodal Deidentification Technology to its GENEVA OS™ platform, expanding capabilities for privacy-preserving analysis of longitudinal data. The combined infrastructure is designed to support evidence generation across a range of healthcare and life sciences applications.
