Health Universe and Atropos Health have announced a partnership that will integrate Atropos Health's real-world evidence (RWE) generation and clinical decision support capabilities into the Health Universe platform used by healthcare organizations. According to the companies, the integration is intended to help clinicians answer complex clinical questions using RWE while enabling health systems to oversee how AI-generated recommendations are produced and used.

The collaboration comes as healthcare organizations seek to manage growing volumes of clinical guidelines, published research, and patient data at the point of care. According to the companies, only 14% of clinical decisions are currently supported by high-quality evidence, while increasing use of consumer AI tools outside organizational oversight has created additional challenges around transparency, governance, and confidence in AI-generated recommendations.

Atropos Health's evidence generation capabilities draw on a federated healthcare data network and its Alexandria precision RWE library to generate patient-specific evidence. The Health Universe platform enables healthcare organizations to deploy AI agents within regulated clinical environments under a single governance model, providing oversight of AI-assisted clinical decision support.

Through the integration, clinicians will be able to access relevant clinical guidelines, published literature, and patient-specific evidence within their existing workflows. According to the companies, the integration is intended to support clinical questions where conventional guidelines or randomized clinical trial evidence may be limited, while reducing reliance on external AI tools that fall outside organizational governance.
